Rinsing and Removing Excess Water from Your Handknits
To rinse your handknits fill the sink again with lukewarm water.
Gently move the garment through the water to rinse it.
Let the water drain from the sink.
Lightly squeeze the garment against the sink to get out as much water as possible.
Lift the garment from the sink, supporting it with your hands.
Roll the garment in a Turkish towel and press the towel with your hands so it will
absorb as much water as possible.
An alternative way to remove some water from the garment is to place it in your
washing machine and set the machine for spin dry.
Be careful not to let this process go on for more than a minute or so. The
garment will be flattened against the side of the machine so there will be no agitation.
However, you don't want to spin too much water from the garment or stretching and
wrinkling may take place.
